David Cook
w/ Kathryn Dean
8:00pm at The Grey Eagle
($20 / $70 VIP)

When David Cook moved to Nashville in 2012, the expectation was that this singer-songwriter from the Heartland would emphasize the rootsy side of his sensibility, and sure enough, he had immediate success co-writing country tunes, including the Top-20 single “Kiss You Tonight” for David Nail in 2014. But new album Digital Vein is something else entirely, with Cook’s powerful voice and dynamic guitar work knifing through vibrant soundscapes that boldly juxtapose man-made grooves and electronic textures.

Her unique sound is a mesh of folk, jazz, blues, and pop influences.

Ben de la Cour
5:30pm at Isis Music Hall
($10)

Ben De La Cour brings to mind a young Townes Van Zandt. He shares a similarly cynical worldview and world-weary, rakish persona, and sings in an assured baritone that he would probably prefer was fueled by quality bourbon, although rotgut might do the job in a pinch. And as he makes clear from the git-go, he’s no stranger to being in a pinch.

Bill Frisell Harmony : Two Shows one Night
Shows at 7pm and 9pm
7:00pm at Isis Music Hall
($30 Advance / $35 Day of Show)

"It’s hard to find a more fruitful meditation on American music than in the compositions of guitarist Bill Frisell. Mixing rock and country with jazz and blues, he’s found what connects them: improvisation and a sense of play. Unlike other pastichists, who tend to duck passion, Mr. Frisell plays up the pleasure in the music and also takes on another often-avoided subject, tenderness." – The New York Times

The Claire Lynch Band
8:30pm at Isis Music Hall

Dolly Parton credits Claire with "one of the sweetest, purest and best lead voices in the music business today." Claire's harmonies have graced the recordings of many stellar musicians. Equally gifted as a songwriter, her songs have been recorded by The Seldom Scene, Patty Loveless, Kathy Mattea, Cherryholmes, The Whites and others. Blazing her own trail in the mid '70s when there were few role models for a young woman in the genre, Claire Lynch made history when she led the Front Porch String Band, which evolved in the '80s and '90s into “one of the sharpest and most exciting post-modern bluegrass bands on the circuit.” She formed The Claire Lynch Band in 2005.

Unknown Hinson
Halloween Show

But don't dismiss him as a novelty act. He's one hell of a talent and has the music to prove it! Unknown is gaining international notoriety in the 14-34 demographic as the voice of lead character "Early Cuyler" in the Cartoon Network's "Squidbillies".
